What if I submit my application, and then change my mind?
Simple – you can return the policy within 30 days and get a full refund if you change your mind for any reason.

How is a claim made?
You will need to contact us on 0800 808 175, to inform us of your illness, so that we can start the claim process.

For any claim we'll need your doctor's contact details, so we can confirm your prognosis.

We will also need:

Proof of Age - Passport, Drivers Licence or Birth Certificate
      The Policy Document
      The completed Claim Form

Once these documents are received, the claim has been accepted and we have received your claim discharge form, it will be settled immediately.

How soon will my insurance cover take effect?
As soon as your completed application is accepted you will be covered.

How is the money paid?
In the most useful way—as a lump sum, not in instalments. You can use the money as you need it.

Does it have to go towards medical bills?
Not at all. The money is yours to use any way you need it.

What if I have other insurance?
No problem. Cancer and Critical Illness Recovery Insurance pays out regardless of any other policies you have with other companies. That makes it an ideal ‘top-up’ to fill in the gaps of other forms of cover.

What isn’t covered?
If you have any pre-existing conditions, then they will be excluded from your cover. Full details about each condition and exclusions are in the policy wording.

How do I pay the premiums?
You can choose to pay monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly by direct debit or credit card. You can also pay quarterly, half-yearly or yearly by cheque.

What happens if I cancel my policy?
Cancer and Critical Illness Recovery Insurance has no cancellation value, so if you decide to cancel your policy there is no payout.

What happens to my cover amount if I elect to freeze my premiums?
If you choose to freeze your premiums, your cover amount reduces. Your fixed premium will be used to provide the maximum cover based on your age, gender and smoking status.

If I freeze my premiums, am I able to unfreeze my premiums at a later time?
Yes, you can ‘unfreeze’ your premiums at your next policy anniversary.
